Rod Woodson Will Be Co-Sports Marshal at Apple Blossom Festival
Woodson will join NASCAR legend Bill Elliott as co-sports marshal of the festival. He’ll be one of the featured guests at the annual Sports Breakfast Saturday morning at the Moose Lodge in downtown Winchester.
Woodson started his career as a first-round draft choice of the Pittsburgh Steelers after his college career at Purdue. He played 10 years with the Steelers before joining San Francisco, Baltimore and Oakland for a total of seven more seasons.
One of the NFL's fastest players, Woodson intercepted 71 passes, third most in NFL history. His 12 interception returns for touchdown is the most in a career.
Woodson was enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2009.
