SU to hold college prep camp

WINCHESTER — Shenandoah University head women’s lacrosse coach Lindsey Lutz announced Tuesday that she will be holding a one-day college prep camp next month.

Lutz, the 2010 USA South Conference Coach of the Year, will hold the one-day camp for high school-aged players interested in playing lacrosse at the college level on Saturday, Feb. 9.

The camp will run from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on the artificial turf of Sprint Field at Shentel Stadium.

The morning will consist of warm-up and skill work followed by competitive games in the afternoon.

Camp tuition is $75 and registration is limited to 50 players.

“In coaching club lacrosse in the summer, I have found that high school players benefit from experiencing how the game is played and practiced at the college level.
