Clarke County vs Central (Wise) in the Group A Division 2 State Semifinal from VCU.

Central (Wise) defeats Clarke 56-41. Eagles finish the season 23-7.

Sophmore Sydney Chrane led the Eagles with 13 points and 16 rebounds. Becky Smith had 11 points (three 3-pointers), and Anna Blue Catlett had 10 points and 7 rebounds.

Ravenscroft finds Catlett for a lay-up just before the buzzer and Clarke trails 39-32 after third quarter. Clarke ended the quarter on 9-2 run.

Central's lead expanded to a game-high 14, before a 3-pointer from Smith and a lay-up by Hicks closes it to 9.

Clarke had closed to six, but Central goes on 6-0 run largely due to six Clarke turnovers.
