City couple who allegedly left kids alone charged
WINCHESTER — A city couple was charged Saturday after allegedly leaving their four young children home alone.
Police were called around 9:30 a.m. to the 500 block of Armour Dale, near Valley Avenue, in reference to a welfare check, according to Winchester Police Department spokeswoman Lauren Cummings.
Someone in the area reported noticing that there were a number kids unsupervised at the residence.
An officer arrived and found that four children — ages 8, 6, 4 and 11 months — were home alone.
The children’s parents, Marta Tolentino Gomez, 23, and Felipe Tolentino-Perez, 29, were contacted and returned home, Cummings said.
She did not release where the parents were, and said it was unknown how long they were gone.
Tolentino Gomez and Tolentino-Perez were each charged with four counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
