Child, babysitting safety classes
The Lord Fairfax EMS Council will offer child and babysitting safety courses to students ages 11 to 15 years.
Courses will be held June 24 and 25, July 12, and Aug. 1 and 2 at the training center, 180-1 Prosperity Drive.

Community Baby Shower
Winchester Medical Center is hosting the second annual Community Baby Shower from June 1 to 16 for C-CAP, ABBA Care, Healthy Families, New Eve Ministries, The Laurel Center and The Red Wagon Ministry.
The collection begins at 8 a.m. June 1 and continues through June 16. Items may be dropped off at the Cork Street Cafe, 333 W. Cork St.; Valley Health Wellness and Fitness Center, and the South Tower Lobby of Winchester Medical Center.
Cancer Support Group will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Graham Room at First Presbyterian Church, 116 S. Loudoun St., Winchester.
All cancer patients (current or previous) and families are invited.

Infant See is a no-cost public health program developed to provide professional eye care for infants nationwide.
Optometrists will provide a one-time, comprehensive eye assessment to infants in their first year of life, offering early detection of potential eye and vision problems at no cost, regardless of income.

Virginia Blood Services, provider of blood products to Valley Health hospitals, is open Tuesday through Saturday at 333 W. Cork St., Suite 220. Hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, and 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
