Members of the Shenandoah University pep band use the Howard Shockey & Sons hard hats each of them is wearing as their percussion instruments as they play during the laying of the foundation for the school’s Health & Life Sciences Building Thursday. The three-story, 71,000 square-foot building will house the university’s athletic training, biology, chemistry, nursing, respiratory care and pre-health programs.
