WINCHESTER — A Frederick County man was arrested Monday and charged with sexual abuse of a boy.

Adam Christopher Rudman, 30, of the 100 block of Lee Avenue is charged with forcible sodomy, object sexual penetration, six counts of aggravated sexual battery and three counts of taking indecent liberties with a child.

He is being held without bond in the Northwestern Regional Adult Detention Center.

According to a search warrant filed Monday in Frederick County Circuit Court, the victim — now 16 — was interviewed by a county Sheriff’s Office investigator April 22. He described several sexual acts that Rudman allegedly performed on him when he was under 13.

On May 7, the investigator obtained the victim’s cellphone and conducted a digital data recovery examination for text messages sent between the victim and suspect.

The messages pertained to a discussion that confirmed the allegations described by the victim, according to the warrant.

The warrant was filed to confiscate and examine Rudman’s cellphone.
