Help available for Medicare Part D questions

WINCHESTER — People who want to re-evaluate their Medicare Part D plan are invited to bring their questions to Shenandoah University’s Bernard J. Dunn School of Pharmacy from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 31.

The plan, also called the Medicare prescription drug benefit, is a federal program to subsidize the costs of prescription drugs.

Experts will be available to discuss issues such as:

Avoiding the coverage gap.

Lowering monthly premiums.

Lowering copayments.

Determining if your plan covers pharmacies near you.

Participants are asked to bring their Medicare card and a complete list of medications that they use.

The session will be held in room 265.

The Bernard J. Dunn School of Pharmacy is located in the Shenandoah University Health Professions Building at 1775 North Sector Court.

To get there, take Va. 37 to the Winchester Medical Center exit. Take the first left and go up the hill to the SU Health Professions Building. Room 265 is located on the left through the middle double doors.
