It’s Christmastime in the city

These activities are being promoted as part of the “Holly Jolly Old Town Celebration” in Winchester, scheduled for Dec. 15.

Holiday specials throughout the day at Old Town stores and restaurants.

Old Court House Civil War Museum open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Old Town Civil War walking tour beginning at 11 a.m. ($5 fee; meet at the Kurtz building at 2 N. Cameron St.).

Christmas carolers stroll the Loudoun Street Mall and sing, noon to 7 p.m.

The Museum at 9 Court Square open at times to be determined. Admission will be free.

Second Victorian Candlelight Ball will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 116 S. Loudoun St. Admission is free.

Free horse-drawn carriage rides from 6 to 8 p.m.

Holly Jolly Stomp, featuring a large number of people dressed in Santa attire, will visit various Old Town restaurants throughout the evening to raise money for the Henry and William Evans Home for Children.
