She had a different experience at WMC
I totally disagree with Kathy Perry (Open Forum, Jan. 21). I’m sorry for her experience after surgery, but I had the exact opposite experience.
I had my left knee replaced in November 2012 and my right replaced in June 2013. My care was excellent. The nurses and therapists could not have been nicer. My meal orders were taken by staff daily, and always delivered in a timely fashion.
You are scheduled for therapy morning and afternoon. You can’t say “Come back later.” They have a schedule to keep, and other patients to see. I actually had a mini-pity breakdown after my first surgery, and my therapist took the time to listen to me and let me cry it out. He was able to make me feel a lot better, then I was able to do my therapy!
My only complaint were some of the menu items, but let’s face it, this isn't the Hilton and you aren’t on vacation. My overall experience was great! I was actually looking forward to my second surgery. It was the best thing I have done for myself in years!
