Localities ban alcohol sales for problem drinkers

Winchester officials are distributing these pictures to bars and convenience stores to prevent alcohol sales to the area residents on the interdiction list.

WINCHESTER — Sobering up isn’t just a suggestion for several of the city’s heavy drinkers.

For at least 18 Winchester-area residents aged 26 to 66, possessing alcohol comes with a stiff penalty.
