WINCHESTER — A Frederick County man who allegedly attempted to rape a woman after breaking into her home in the nude last week was denied bond Monday.

Miguel Angel Valle, 21, of the 100 block of Brigstock Drive — at Preston Place Apartments, off Airport Road — is charged with one count of breaking and entering with intent to rape.

According to court documents, Valle, on Friday, entered an apartment in the same complex as his residence by breaking the screen and opening the window.

Once inside, he discovered that a woman was home alone and took off all of his clothes before entering her bedroom.

“When the victim discovered [Valle] in her residence, she states that he pushed her down on the bed, held one hand over her mouth and punched her with the other hand,” the criminal complaint states. “[Valle] told the victim several times to ‘shut up, I have to do this.’”

The victim was eventually able to fight Valle off and run from the apartment. She went to the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office immediately after and made a report.

According to the criminal complaint, Valle — who was identified as a suspect during the investigation — made a full confession and was arrested at about noon Sunday.

Other charges could be pending, as Valle is also believed to have attempted to attack a different woman in the same apartment complex on Dec. 21.

A man fitting his description allegedly hid in the woman’s residence. He had a knife and talked with the victim about his intent, Lt. Donnie Lang of the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office previously said.

The woman tried to take the knife from him, but was cut during the struggle. The man reportedly dropped the knife and ran out of the residence, after which the woman called 911.

Valle, who remains at the Northwestern Regional Adult Detention Center, is expected back in court at 2:30 p.m. on April 15.

According to court documents, his criminal history includes convictions for possession of marijuana, grand larceny, obstruction of justice and fraud.

The documents also state that he resided at Preston Place with his girlfriend.
