Man wanted in Frederick County and five other area jurisdictions
WINCHESTER — A Front Royal man is wanted in six jurisdictions, including Frederick County.
According to a Friday media release from the Front Royal Police Department, Anthony “Tony” Wayne Williams, 40, is wanted by the Prince George’s Sheriff’s Office in Maryland and the following Virginia agencies: Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, Fairfax County Police Department, Frederick County Circuit Court, Warren County General District Court and most recently by the Front Royal Police Department.
Front Royal police Officer Bill Lawson obtained two felony warrants on Nov. 4 for obtaining money by false pretenses and grand larceny.
Travis M. Coleman advised Lawson that he had made an agreement with Williams five to six months ago to paint his 1996 Chevrolet Impala, according to the release.
Coleman later learned that his vehicle had since been sold to another individual by Williams.
Williams, who has 11 pending charges, is a fugitive in Frederick County on a revocation of probation charge stemming from an earlier forgery charge, according to online court records.
Anyone with information about Williams’ whereabouts is asked to call Sgt. Jason Ryman, Criminal Investigations Division of the Front Royal Police Department, at 540-636-2208 or email email@example.com.
