Modular classrooms added at Quarles
A new four-classroom modular is now in place in front of Quarles Elementary School, between the school and a play yard. The cost of the project was $250,000, and the contract award went to Mobile Modular Management Corp. of California. The classrooms will seat an additional 80 to 100 students. The school, located at 1310 S. Loudoun St. in Winchester, is in need of a modular classroom because of overcrowding. In October 2012, the school had 511 students — nearly 100 students over capacity.
