WINCHESTER — A city man remains behind bars after allegedly admitting to sexually abusing a 10-year-old boy.

Gadvin Acencio-Godoy, 36, of the 400 block of Imperial Avenue, was arrested Wednesday night for charges of indecent liberties with a child and aggravated sexual battery.

Acencio-Godoy — who is being held at the Northwestern Regional Adult Detention Center — appeared Thursday via video in Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court, where he was denied bond.

According to a criminal complaint filed in the case, Winchester Police Department officers were called Wednesday to Beechcroft Road in the city for a report of a sexual assault involving a juvenile boy.

The reporting party informed the police that Acencio-Godoy had sexually assaulted a 10-year-old boy.

Upon interviewing the suspect, he admitted to the crime, the complaint states.

Acencio-Godoy stated that he exposed himself to the child, touched the child and “attempted other sexual acts” with him.

He is expected back in court on the charges at 3 p.m. on May 8.
