BERRYVILLE — A minor accident involving a Clarke County school bus Wednesday forced division officials to call in another bus to take students home, according to Superintendent Mike Murphy.

Neither the bus driver nor any of the estimated 30 students on board were injured.

The wreck occurred about 4 p.m. near 850 W. Main St. and was the result of a rear-end collision involving three passenger cars. The bus was the last vehicle to be hit.

A second bus was called in to take home the students — who ranged from kindergarten through 12th grade — while the accident was being investigated.

No information was available regarding the occupants of the other vehicles, including whether they were injured or if any of the other drivers were cited.

Officers from Berryville, Clarke County and Virginia State Police were at the scene.
