Open Forum: Man up!
It began in 1973. The Supreme Court ruling in the case of Roe v. Wade legalized the abortion of America’s unborn babies, based on “the woman’s right to privacy.” As of 2011, the money-making business of abortion had taken the lives of 54,559,615 unborn babies.
While we remain silent, the war on the unborn continues to rage on. Roe v. Wade labeled the unborn with the tag “fetus” and decided that a “fetus” need not be included in the right to “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”
Speaking up may not change things, but one thing is for sure: Remaining silent is deadly!
Remember that demonic little man with the tiny mustache. He was fond of labels. Labels helped him to take over Germany from 1933 to 1945.
When taking a stand in defense of the unborn babies, it becomes necessary to state the facts about abortion that may upset those who have had an abortion. This letter is not written in judgment nor to condemn anyone who has had an abortion. God’s word gives us all a reality check: “We all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.” If we say we are without sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we “confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (Romans 3:23, 1 John 1:9).
There has been a lot of talk in the news on the subject of rape and abortion. Can any of the politicians who have expressed their opinion, explain to us why the innocent are not being protected?
In my opinion, the triple travesty of justice is the fact that after a woman has been through “hell on earth” (rape), she is encouraged to make a “choice” between life or death! Which usually results in a death sentence for the unborn baby. The rape victim probably doesn’t realize that statistics show that women who have had an abortion are more likely to be diagnosed with breast cancer later in life.
As for the rapist, if he cannot afford an attorney one will be provided for him, by the taxpayers. If justice prevails in the courtroom, the rapist will be found guilty and finally go to prison. While in prison, the rapist will have his room and board paid for, by the taxpayers. He might spend his time lifting weights, or searching for loopholes in the legal system. Recently, a prisoner made the news by filing a lawsuit demanding the government to pay for his sex-change operation!
When the rapist has “paid his debt to society,” he (depending on how that lawsuit turns out) will be released from prison, free to live out the rest of his life.
What if a new law was passed that states “if the rape victim decides to have an abortion then the life of the rapist will also be aborted”? Since his crime has forced the victim to choose life or death, shouldn’t he be part of that equation? If someone needs to die for this crime, shouldn’t it be the person who committed the crime?
Do you think that’s barbaric? Then how do you justify the following? You are against the death penalty for the convicted rapist, yet you are for the death of the innocent unborn baby!
Now on the subject of the thousands of abortions scheduled that are not due to rape. How many more unborn babies have to die before people realize that their socalled “free love” is not free? The unborn are paying the price with their lives! And taxpayers are funding this mass murder!
Maybe the appeal to end abortion should be directed to the men of America. When it comes to the subject of abortion, I find it strangely eerie how men seem to be missing from the abortion equation. I assume that men do realize that they are equally responsible for the abortion of the unborn baby they helped to make. Is that the kind of man you want to be? A man who makes babies he doesn't want? Why would you do that? Don’t you realize there’s a war on all of mankind? You are aiding and abetting the enemy.
Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour (1 Peter 5:8).
Men of America — unborn babies are being labeled a “fetus” and that label is used as their death warrant. The fetus who is aborted is still a baby. All the DNA is there. Everything that makes them a person is already there. A baby in the early stages of life is still a baby, a baby that just needs a little more time to grow. It’s just a matter of time.
Wanted or not wanted? That’s what determines whether the unborn baby is allowed to live. Wanted or not wanted determines whether the baby is called a baby, or tagged with the label “fetus.” We all know how dangerous that line of thought has proven to be throughout history.
When a nation allows people to be considered as less than human and tags them with a label, watch out, for it’s just a matter of time. The next “label” could be stuck on you.
To the men here in America who have been equally responsible for keeping the abortionists busy, stop making babies if you’re not ready to love and protect them. For the love of God and country — man up!
