Our View: Just thinking out loud
New York City has always been full of itself, conspicuous in its claims to being larger than all life forms surrounding it (especially New Jersey). But now the Big Apple is careening toward caricature: Anthony Wiener, “self”-photographer, for mayor; Eliot Spitzer, notorious “john,” for comptroller. Give us a break.
Only in New York could such a wanton duo take a flier on political redemption. Much more is at stake here, though — a city’s sanity, for instance.
