Our View: Wish we’d said that
While motoring to work Monday, we tuned in Laura Ingraham’s radio talk show, where the subject du jour was “Have we lost sight of the reason for this (upcoming) season?” A woman from New Mexico called in with this trenchant observation — a real gem once you think about it.
Why, this caller asked, do we moan incessantly about the long lines we encounter on Election Day when we think nothing of queuing up — for hours — simply to get a Black Friday coupon at some big-box store? The embedded question: Where are our priorities?
Good point. Good question. Wish we’d said that.
