Handley High School students under the direction of the Tri-County Virginia Opportunities Industrialization Center pose in the former CSX freight station at 430 N. Cameron St. The students were renovating the building for use by the Winchester Model Railroad Club. Photographer Larry Sullivan, a member of the club, took this photo in 1987. Sullivan said the club, founded in 1982 and headquartered at 45 E. Piccadilly St., leased the building from CSX Corp. According to the OIC sign on the building, those working on the project were Michelle Bly, Christy Keeler, Roger Nicker, Billy Shull, John Branch, Lenora Keyser, Michelle Morgan, Eddie Swartz, Wayne Dantela, Brenda Yancey, Carmen Nicholson, Mike Rshhangh, Michael Kidd, Jeremy Rome, Danny Ruprhart, Mike Lindamood, and John Schoolfield. Sullivan said he could not match the names with those who are pictured.
