Jacob Childree (left), 10, holds his first place trophy in the Shawnee District Pinewood Derby. He is in Pack 46. The other top finishers were Cody Smith, second place, Nick Borland, third place, Eric Price, fourth place, and Zane Jenkins, fifth place. The top five finishers from Sunday’s race will advance to the Council Grand Championship to be held at noon March 23 at St. Joseph School in Martinsburg, W.Va., according to Shawnee District Pinewood Derby Chairman Tony Manzione.
