WINCHESTER — Police are searching for two men who allegedly robbed and assaulted two other men on Monday night.

Sgt. Frank Myrtle said officers were called around 10:20 p.m. to the 800 block of Pennsylvania Avenue — where the victims reported that they had been assaulted and robbed near Kent Street and Baker Lane.

One of the victims said his cellphone was taken, and the other reported that his hat was stolen.

Myrtle said both men appeared to have injuries to their faces, but refused medical treatment.

The alleged attackers, who were not found, were described as black men in their late teens to early 20s, according to Myrtle. They were wearing black sweatshirts and “skinny” jeans.

One of the men was described as having a buzz cut and the other had a small afro hairstyle, he said.

Anyone with information about the incident may call the city police Criminal Investigations Division at 540-545-4704 or Crime Solvers at 540-665-8477.
