Beth El Congregation, 520 Fairmont Ave., Winchester, will have its annual Hanukkah dinner and family worship service today. The dinner begins at 6:30 p.m. and will include the traditional lighting of the Hanukkah menorahs (candelabras).
Praise and worship band Revival will present a Christmas performance, “The Gift,” at 7 p.m. on Dec. 21 at Macedonia United Methodist Church, U.S. 522 near Armel Elementary School.
The group will weave traditional Christmas songs with contemporary praise songs, scripture readings and images to tell the story of the birth of Jesus and the greatest gift of all.
It is free and open to the public.
Meadow Brook Bible Baptist
“Tell Me The Story of Jesus,” a Christmas string musical, will be presented at Meadow Brook Bible Baptist, 2425 First St., Middletown 7 p.m. Saturday. Refreshments will follow.
Life in the Word
Life in the Word Church of Jesus Christ is expanding its White Post headquarters to include a new dining facility.
The church, 14401 Lord Fairfax Highway in White Post, will host an open house to showcase the new Fellowship Hall at 11 a.m. Saturday. A representative from the White Post Diversion Center will be the guest speaker.
Senior pastor, Bishop Bobby T. Hudnall, has a vision for the fellowship hall to be used as a soup kitchen to feed the hungry, a gathering place for community youth and senior citizens, and to serve as a banquet hall for small group get-togethers and meetings.
Relief United Methodist Church, 5275 Middle Road, Winchester, will have Lesson in Carols, presented by the sanctuary choir, at 11 a.m. Sunday.
At 7 p.m., the annual Christmas program will be presented with recitations, special music, vocal and instrumental, and “The Twelve Days of Christmas.”
Wesley United Methodist Church, 527 Van Fossen St., Winchester, will have an 11 a.m. Dec. 24. Candlelight Communion Service with guest speaker the Rev. Bill Mayton, pastor emeritus of Main Street United Methodist Church, Waynesboro, with music by the Giovane Players string quartet.
There will be a 7 p.m. candlelight communion service with the Rev. Mike Mayton preaching and special music by the sanctuary choir.
Old Bethel UMC
Old Bethel United Methodist Church, 560 Old Bethel Church Road, Winchester, will hold its annual Christmas program at 11:15 a.m. this Sunday.

A special visitor will come to Advent Lutheran Church, 1508 Valley Ave., Winchester, at 7 p.m. today.
The visitor is the innkeeper of Bethlehem where Mary and Joseph were looking for a room to prepare for the birth of Jesus.
Noel Vold, pastor, will portray the innkeeper. He does first person presentations of various Bible characters in costume as part of his ministry.
A reception will follow the presentation.
