Greenwood Baptist

 

Greenwood Baptist Church, 779 Greenwood Road, Winchester, will hold Vacation Bible School from 6:30 to 8 p.m. July 28 to Aug. 1.

Mt. Olive United Methodist Church, U.S. 50 west of Winchester, will have a one-day Vacation Bible School, “SonWest Roundup — A Rip Roarin’ Good Time With Jesus,” from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 13.

Colossal Coaster World: Facing Fear, Trusting God is the theme for Vacation Bible School to be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday to July 12 at Calvary Baptist Church in Winchester.

Activities will be available for children from nursery to rising sixth-graders. Dinner will be served at 5:15 p.m.

Greenwood United Methodist Church, 726 Greenwood Road, will have new hours for worship services this summer. Worship will begin at 9:30 a.m. and adult Sunday school will follow at 10:45 a.m.

Highland Presbyterian

 

God’s Backyard Bible Camp for ages 4 to those who have completed fifth grade will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday to Thursday at Highland Memorial Presbyterian Church in Winchester.

St. John’s Lutheran

St. John’s Lutheran Church, Back Mountain Road, will have Mocha and a Message at 6 p.m. July 20 in the social hall.

This is contemporary gospel music along with coffee and other beverages and light refreshments.

There is no charge, but a freewill offering will be taken to benefit community outreach.

During the summer months, the service will be held the third Saturday.

 

Camp of Faith Church

Stephens City United Methodist Church, 5291 Main St., Stephens City, will celebrate the freedoms citizens have as Americans and Christians with special music in honor of Independence Day during morning worship this Sunday..

 

 

 

Vacation Bible School, “Gotta Move! Keeping in Step with the Spirit,” will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. July 21-26 for ages preschool to fifth grade.

The Voices of Youth - Awakening the Church to Mission, a choir of youth from the Virginia Conference of the United Methodist Churches, will perform at 7 p.m. July 12 at the church.

 

Voices of Youth choir is high school youth from the United Methodist Churches across the state. The program will consist of choral and instrumental music, interpretative movement and visuals.

Winchester Seventh-day Adventist

“His Helping Hands,” sponsored by the Winchester Seventh-day Adventist Church, meets from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays at 156 Lambden Ave.
