Schedule of sesquicentennial activities at Kernstown Battlefield

Activities from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

Admission is free, but donations are appreciated.

Saturday

9 a.m. — Gates open

10 a.m. — Pritchard House tour

11 a.m. — Civil War-period fashion show at the lower-front entrance to the Pritchard House

Noon — Tactics demonstration

1 p.m. — Battlefield walking tour beginning at the visitor center

2 p.m. — Join the ranks of the 10th West Virginia re-enactors

3 p.m. — Pritchard House tour beginning at the visitor center

4 p.m. — The Georgia sharpshooters advance on the 10th West Virginia re-enactment

4:30 p.m. — Battlefield walking tour begins at the visitor center

7 p.m. — Living history program

Sunday

9 a.m. — Gates open

10 a.m. — Battlefield walking tour begins at the visitor center

11 a.m. — Federal knapsack inspection

11:30 a.m. — Civil War-period fashion show at the lower-front entrance to the Pritchard House

Noon — Pritchard House tour begins at the visitor center

12:30 p.m. — Confederate infantry and cavalry demonstration

1 p.m. — Battlefield walking tour begins at the visitor center

2 p.m. — Shenandoah Valley Minstrels concert in the walnut grove

4 p.m. — Gate closes.

Between the scheduled demonstration programs, living- history presentations will be offered in the bivouac/camp areas.

Civilians will interpret Valley family life in the house throughout the day.

Food and beverages will be for sale throughout the day.
