Several streets in city to close for First Night

Admissions buttons to First Night Winchester 2013 may be purchased online or at the First Night headquarters.

WINCHESTER — Several streets in downtown Winchester will be closed for the annual First Night Winchester New Year’s Eve celebration Monday:

Boscawen Street from Cameron to Kent streets will close at 1 p.m.

Boscawen from Braddock Street to Cameron will close at 4 p.m.

East Lane from Cork Street to Woodstock Lane will close at 4 p.m.

Cameron from Cork to Piccadilly Street will close at 10 p.m.

Access to The George Washington and Court Square auto parks will be available from Kent Street, and the Boscawen Street bus stop will be moved to North Kent in front of The Winchester Star building.

First Night activities will take place in and around downtown Winchester.

Admission buttons are $10 and are available for purchase online at and on New Year’s Eve from 4 to 10 p.m. at First Night headquarters at 15 N. Loudoun St.

Buttons also may be purchased at a variety of locations in the community, including the Apple Blossom Mall’s service desk, the Bank of Clarke County’s Loudoun Street branch, the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley, Wilkins ShoeCenter, The Old Town General Store, the Winchester-Frederick County Visitor Center and the gift shops at Winchester Medical Center.
