Tires taken from local outfitter

WINCHESTER — City police are searching for more than 110 tires reported stolen from a local business.

Officers were called just after 8:40 a.m. Thursday to Tire Outfitters at 2712 S. Pleasant Valley Road after a report of a burglary, according to police spokeswoman Lauren Cummings.

An employee told police that when he came to work, he discovered that numerous tires were missing.

Officers found that the tires were stolen from an outdoor fenced-in area at the business.

Cummings said investigators discovered no evidence of a forced entry.
