Those wanting to weigh in on the state’s Six-Year Improvement Program for transportation can do so three ways.

In person at the public hearing for Staunton District projects, which will be held beginning at 6 p.m. June 4 at Northside High School, 6758 Northside High School Road, Roanoke.

Via email at six-yearprogram@vdot.virginia.gov for Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) projects and at drptpr@drpt.virginia.govfor Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation (DRPT) projects. Comments must be received by June 7.

Six-Year  Improvement Program

Following are the amounts allocated for local jurisdictions in the Virginia Department of Transportation’s Six-Year Improvement Program and the projects for which they are earmarked.

Clarke County, 2014

$735,000 — Intersection improvements on Senseny Road (Va. 657) and Lord Fairfax Highway (U.S. 340).

Clarke County,  2015-19

$3,825,000 — Bridge and approach replacement, Old Charles Town Road (Va. 761) over Opequon Creek.

Frederick County, 2014

$5,600,000 — Airport Road (Va. 645) and Warrior Drive (Va. 719) extensions.

$1,214,000 — Millwood Pike (U.S. 17) bridge over Interstate 81.

$881,000 — Study of Interstate 81 interchange at Exit 313.

$594,000 — Add right-turn lane from Welltown Road (Va. 661) to U.S. 11.

Frederick, 2015-19

$36,360,000 — Modifications to Interstate 81 interchange at Exit 310.

$23,370,000 — Widen Fairfax Pike (Va. 277).

$6,972,000 — Study of Interstate 81 interchange at Exit 313.

$3,296,000 — Va. 37 eastern bypass preliminary engineering.

$1,696,000 — Sulphur Spring Road (Va. 655) reconstruction, preliminary engineering and right of way acquisition.

$1,665,000 — Replace Fromans Road (Va. 623) bridge over Cedar Creek.

$1,189,000 — Replace Carpers Valley Road (Va. 723) bridge over Opequon Creek.

Winchester, 2014

$8,000,000 — Extension of Hope Drive and realignment of Papermill Road and Tevis Street.

$4,000,000 — Extension of Meadow Branch Avenue.

$1,500,000 — Extension of Nester Drive.

$800,000 — Valley Avenue drainage improvements.

$310,000 — Citywide paving.
