Woman injured in Back Mountain Road crash

MOUNTAIN FALLS — A Winchester woman was injured Saturday evening when the vehicle she was driving went off Back Mountain Road in Frederick County and overturned.

Cynthia Mozzoli, 46, was taken to Winchester Medical Center after the single-car crash, which occurred around 7:05 p.m., according to Sgt. F.L. Tyler of the Virginia State Police.

Authorities reported that Mozzoli was driving south on Back Mountain Road, about a mile north of Wardensville Grade (Va. 608), when her 2003 Chevrolet SUV ran off the right side of the road and overturned in the roadway.

Mozzoli was not wearing a seat belt.

Tyler had no information on the extent of Mozzoli’s injuries or the amount of damage to her vehicle.

North Mountain, Star Tannery and Round Hill volunteer fire companies responded to the accident scene.
