Snow Is Tappering Off, Accumulation Is About Done

Calvin Meadows, a meteorological technician with the National Weather Service says the snow is pretty much done. Light snow this afternoon with little to no accumulation.

Temperatures might drop below freezing tonight and could cause slippery driving conditions.

Meadows said about 6-7 inches has fallen in Winchester, with the highest snow total in our area is 14 inches in Cross Junction. Other observations showed 10-11 inches around Berryville and Millwood.

Areas in Rockingham and Augusta counties had the highest snowfall totals with as much as 18 inches.
