WINCHESTER  -- Fire has destroyed a warehouse this evening at Moxon Timbers, a wholesale lumber and flooring company based south of Va. 37 near Kernstown.

Calls for the fully-involved blaze first started coming in just before 8:15, when flames were visible from the roof of the warehouse, which is behind the main administrative building at 121 Industrial Lane.

Numerous fire and rescue companies from the area continue to battle the fire and will into Tuesday, Frederick County Fire and Rescue Chief Dennis D. Linaburg said about 9:30.

No employees were on duty when the fire was discovered. No injuries have been reported.

The warehouse, a metal building open on three sides, houses the kilns that are used to dry exotic wood. Linaburg said the warehouse is a total loss.
