City National Bank has broken ground on its new branch office at Jubal Early Drive and Valley Avenue in Winchester.

The branch is scheduled to open in the summer; it replace a branch on Weems Lane.

City National operates 20 branches along the Interstate 81 corridor between Martinsburg, W.Va., and Lexington — including Winchester, Stephens City, Strasburg, Front Royal and Woodstock.

The new Winchester branch will have a 5,700 square-foot office, three drive-through lanes and a drive-through automated teller machine.

“We are thrilled to be adding this important location in Winchester,” said Katrina Meade, regional manager for City National’s Northern Virginia markets. “This full-service facility, at the corner of two of the city’s most traveled streets, will give City excellent visibility — and our customers will enjoy increased access.”

Jim Barb Realty Inc. has named George Johnson as its top lister, Susie Old as top salesperson and Margaret Barb as top producer for January.

Barrett Machine Inc. has announced that Dennis Ridings of Irongate is joining the staff as estimator and project manager.

He has more than 40 years of experience in fabricating and erecting structural and miscellaneous steel.
