Cash dividend streak for Eagle Financial now at 26 years

Eagle Financial Services Inc., holding company for the Bank of Clarke County, declared a regular cash dividend Wednesday of 19 cents per common share.

The dividend is payable to shareholders Feb. 15.

“We’re very proud of the fact that the company has increased its dividend each year for the past 26 years — a record unmatched by most financial institutions,” John R. Milleson, Eagle Financial Services president and CEO, said in a press release.

“Such action is a result of consistent strength and performance as well as the shareholders’ faith in the company.”

The Bank of Clarke County offers commercial banking, retail banking, and trust and investment services through 11 bank branches located throughout Clarke and Frederick counties, Winchester and Round Hill.

The company’s common stock is listed for trading on the Over-the-Counter (OTC) Bulletin Board under the ticker symbol EFSI.
