WINCHESTER — Several items reported stolen from a Shenandoah University dormitory have been found.
City police spokeswoman Lauren Cummings said Friday that the items — ranging from furniture to electronics — were found in two residences away from the campus, one in the city and one in Frederick County.
She would not disclose how officers found the items, nor would she identify the individuals who allegedly took them.
Detectives are continuing to identify suspects in the case and charges are pending, Cummings said.
The recovered items will be returned to the owners.
Officers were called to the university this month and found that one or more people had broken into more than 10 rooms at the University Inn residence hall — off Millwood Avenue near the Bob Evans restaurant— while students were on a holiday break from mid-December through Jan. 10.
Cathy Loranger, university spokeswoman, previously said entry-card access to the University Inn was being changed following the break-ins — a process that was expected to end Friday.
