The agenda will include legislative updates for Del. Mark Berg, candidate updates and General Assembly news.

Rotary Club of Winchester will meet at noon Thursday at the Travelodge.

The agenda will include a new member talk by Sue Scarborough and another new member.

The Rotary Club of Clarke County will meet at noon today in the fellowship hall of Berryville Presbyterian Church, 123 W. Main St.

Debbie Biggs of the Clarke County Public Schools will present information on STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) programs in the school system.

The Kiwanis Club of Winchester will meet at noon today at the Best Western Lee-Jackson.

Member Robert Hurt will present a program on the Kiwanis International Eliminate Project on maternal/neonatal tetanus.

Rotary clubs

The six Rotary clubs in Area One are working together to create a world without hunger.

Two events will be held Saturday.

“Stop Hunger Now” will take place from 8:30 a.m. to noon in James Wood Middle School to package meals for Third World countries. Each meal costs 25 cents, and the goal is to package 50,000 meals.

“Feed Our Neighbors” will focus on local citizens by helping to fill the shelves at Winchester’s and Front Royal’s Salvation Army and the Congregational-Community Action Project, and FISH of Clarke County.

Volunteers will collect donations from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at area Walmart stores.
