Stephens City Lions
The Stephens City Lions Club will host a District 24-C, Region 1, Zone 1 meeting at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday at the Stephens City United Methodist Church.

Dick Bowers Duplicate Bridge Club
The Dick Bowers Duplicate Bridge Club holds regular games at 7 p.m. Monday and 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Godfrey Miller Fellowship Center, 28 S. Loudoun St., Winchester. New players are welcome.

Little Lions
Little Lions will meet at 6 p.m. Nov. 29 at Middletown Elementary School in the kindergarten classroom.
The club will work with the 3- to 5-year-olds and parents to prepare the children for kindergarten. The theme will be Teddy Bears with reading of books, singing, crafts and snacks. It is free and open to the public. Contact Jean Turner at 540-868-8516.
Shenandoah Photographic Society
The Shenandoah Photographic Society held its annual banquet Nov. 12.
Awards were presented as follows: Photographer of the Year — Tag Griffith, Kristen Zimet, John Zimet and Ellen Zimmerman.
Club members who won first, second and third place ribbons include Janice Bittner, Victoria Bullock, Tag Griffith, Chet Lewandowski, Karl Mueller, John Norton, Joanna Pecha, Spencer Ridings, Kristen Zimet, John Zimet and Ellen Zimmerman.
Photographer Sarah Huntingdon served as speaker and judge.

Frederick County GOP
The Frederick County Republican Committee will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Millbrook High School, 251 First Woods Drive.

Veterans meal
VFW Post 2123, 200 Sulky Drive, Winchester, will have a free Thanksgiving meal for veterans and active military from 1 to 5 p.m. Thursday at the post home. Meals are $5 for others.
Thanksgiving service
The trustees of St. Thomas Chapel will hold a Thanksgiving service at 10 a.m. Thursday at the chapel on Church Street in Middletown. The Rev. William Ballance Jr. will be the guest minister.
Thanksgiving meal
A free community Thanksgiving meal, in conjunction with The Salvation Army, will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at the First Presbyterian Church on the Loudoun Street Mall in Winchester.

‘Walking in a Winter Wonderland’
“Walking in a Winter Wonderland” light show opens Friday at Clear Brook Park in Frederick County and continues through Jan. 6. Hours are 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. It will be closed Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. Call 540-665-5678.
