The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office is looking for the individual pictured in this surveillance footage from State Line Exxon on Martinsburg Pike (U.S. 11).

CLEAR BROOK — A man who robbed the State Line Exxon at gunpoint Monday during the peak of Hurricane Sandy’s effect on the area is still on the loose.

Surveillance footage of the incident, which unfolded about 9 p.m. at the store on U.S. 11 (Martinsburg Pike) at the West Virginia border, was released Wednesday.

Frederick County Sheriff’s Office Capt. Allen Sibert said deputies are looking for a white man believed to be about 5 feet, 10 inches and in his mid-20s.

A dark colored sedan, which appeared to have a front license plate or bracket, is believed to be involved in the robbery, Sibert said.

He said the man entered the gas station with a firearm — the exact kind of which is not being identified — and demanded money. He was reported to have left on foot and headed south down Martinsburg Pike with an undisclosed amount of money.

Anyone with information can call the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office at 540-662-6162 or Crime Solvers at 540-665-8477.
