She likes George

It appears a lot of state residents have short memories when they consider which candidate to support for the U.S. Senate.

Have they forgotten Tim Kaine’s irresponsible performance in closing the rest areas across Virginia? That was both an unwise and unsafe action for any governor to take. It was unwise in that it hurt tourism, and it was unsafe for drivers to stay on the road extra hours because the rest areas were closed.

While you can argue the above issue is only one action taken by Gov. Kaine, I would submit it’s representative of his poor judgment. The decision to close and the actual implementation were not done in just a few hours, so he had time to weigh his decision and correct the mistake. I do not view that as good leadership or acceptable management.

My recollection of George Allen’s term as governor is much more favorable. Therefore, I will cast my vote on Nov. 6 for George Allen.
