A ‘refreshing’ presence on board

It is refreshing to see that a young female, Angela Fritts Whitacre, a lifelong resident of Frederick County, wants to serve out the term of current Supervisor Ross Spicer.

Supervisor Spicer has had a positive attitude to move the county forward and has served the residents of Gainesboro District very well.

We trust that the Board of Supervisors will appoint Ms. Whitacre to fill out the term of Supervisor Spicer. She is roughly the same age as the first female, Rhoda Whitacre Maddox (now Kriz), to be elected to the Board of Supervisors in 1979.

A female presence on the Board of Supervisors would show a diversity in our elected officials serving our growing county.
