WINCHESTER — A local man remains jailed for allegedly having sex with a minor in June.
Taffare Lee Hamrick, 18, was arrested Wednesday and charged with carnal knowledge, according to city police spokeswoman Lauren Cummings.
She said he is accused of having sexual relations with a 13-year-old girl.
Hamrick, who according to Cummings was an acquaintance of the girl’s family, was indicted on the charge by a city grand jury in September.
He is being held without bond in the Northwestern Regional Adult Detention Center and is due back in Winchester Circuit Court at 9 a.m. Dec. 7.
