WINCHESTER — A Berryville man was arrested Monday after allegedly brandishing a fake gun in the parking lot of the local Costco store.
Laban Hudson, 34, is charged with possession of a controlled substance and brandishing a firearm.
Frederick County deputies were called around 2:40 p.m. to the Costco parking lot — at 251 Front Royal Pike (U.S. 522) — after receiving reports of a man with a gun, according to Capt. Allen Sibert.
He said Hudson had been fighting with someone he knew and brandished the weapon.
Investigators later learned that the gun was not real, Sibert said.
