WINCHESTER — A Frederick County man was arrested Friday after he pointed a gun at a woman in the parking lot of a city restaurant, police said.

Shane Matthew Koller, 23, of Stephenson, is charged with brandishing a firearm in an incident just before 1 p.m. Friday in the 2200 block of South Pleasant Valley Road.

City police spokeswoman Lauren Cummings would not identify the restaurant where the incident occurred, but said an officer was inside at the time.

Koller allegedly pointed the gun at a Front Royal woman following a confrontation between the two from their vehicles. After he pointed the gun, the victim went into the restaurant to ask for help.

The officer in the restaurant spoke with the victim and then stopped Koller’s vehicle on South Pleasant Valley Road.

He was arrested and taken to the Northwestern Regional Adult Detention Center.
