Navy Seaman Diauna M. Farrish, daughter of Lateishe Y. and Dexter L. Walters of Winchester, recently completed Navy basic training at the Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Ill. She is a 2012 graduate of Millbrook High School.

Navy Airman Recruit Daniel J. Maguschak, son of Elaine A. Maguschak and Dan J. Maguschak, of Winchester, recently completed Navy basic training at the Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Ill. He is a 2011 graduate of James Wood High School.

Air Force Airman Cory R. Fincham graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio. He is the son of Mary McGee-Fincham Clear Brook and a 2009 graduate of James Wood High School.

Air Force Airman 1st Class Jerry A. Sanders Jr. graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio. He earned distinction as an honor graduate. He is the son of Jerry Sanders Sr. of Winchester.
