The National Weather Service in Sterling has extended the FLOOD WARNING for small streams in Winchester and Frederick and Clarke counties until 3:30 p.m.
Between 3 and 7 inches of rain has fallen in the Northern Shenandoah Valley.
Numerous roads remained closed throughout the area due to elevated streams . . . especially in Shenandoah and Frederick counties in Virginia. The North Fork Shenandoah is cresting now . . . so the flood threat should be decreasing by this afternoon.
AWIND ADVISORY is in effect until 2 p.m. The High Wind Warning has been cancelled. Sustained winds of 30 to 35 mph, with gusts of 50 mph possible.
