WINCHESTER — A national restaurant chain will bring its Texas-sized ambitions to Frederick County when it opens on Monday.
Louisville, Ky.-based Texas Roadhouse will open its newest franchise at the Rutherford Crossing shopping complex Monday afternoon, according to a press release from NVRetail, the property management firm that owns Rutherford Crossing.
“We are very pleased to be opening a new restaurant in Winchester at Rutherford Crossing,” stated Travis Doster, Texas Roadhouse senior director of public relations, in the release. “We think our restaurant will be a perfect fit for the center and for the Winchester market.”
The restaurant will sit on a 7,000-square-foot site, employ about 175 people — with 60 percent being full-time employees, according to Rob Engle, who owns Engle & Company Public Relations and handles Rutherford Crossing’s public relations needs.
