WEATHER: It's currently 37 degrees in Winchester at noon. Thursday's high temperature is expected to reach 39 degrees with a 10 percent chance of precipitation in the evening. Friday's forecast calls for a 70 percent chance of snow, but accumulation may only amount to less than an inch.

STOCKS: Stocks are edging lower on Wall Street as the latest round of earnings reports failed to spark enthusiasm in investors.

The Dow Jones industrial average was down seven points at 13,973 shortly before noon Wednesday.

The Standard & Poor's 500 was off less than a point at 1,510.

The Nasdaq composite fell a fraction to 3,170.
