Police are mum on teen’s head injuries

WINCHESTER — Police are investigating a Tuesday night incident that left a 19-year-old city resident with head injuries.
According to a Winchester Police Department media release, officers responded around 9:30 p.m. to the 200 block of East Fairfax Lane for a report of an injured man.
Upon arrival, officers found the teen had sustained injuries to his head.
The initial call was reported over a police scanner as a stabbing, but police spokesman Lauren Cummings would not confirm that.
She said the case was still under investigation and that she could not comment on how the teen was hurt.
He was taken to Winchester Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries and later released.
No arrests have been made in the case.
