Police investigate break-in at a local convenience store

WINCHESTER — City police are investigating a weekend break-in at the Kern Street Convenience Store.

According to a Winchester Police Department media release, officers responded to an alarm at the store — 210 Kern St. — at about 1 a.m. Sunday.

Upon arrival, officers noticed the back door of the business had been forced opened.

They searched the building but were unable to find anyone, according to the media release.

The owner of the business met police at the scene and reported that nothing was missing. He said he did not believe anyone would have continued the break-in after hearing the alarm.
