Repaving to close three city streets

Sections of three streets in Winchester’s North End are scheduled to be repaved over the next five days, weather permitting. Crews will repave National Avenue between Smithfield and Highland avenues on Saturday. National will be closed to through traffic, with vehicles headed to and from downtown detoured to Woodstock Lane. On Monday, Fairfax Lane between Cameron Street and the CSX railroad tracks will receive new pavement. Chase Street between Elk and Kern streets will be closed for repaving on Tuesday.
