Fit Club

A free Fit Club is held at 7 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday in the Family Life Center at Winchester Church of God, 2080 North Frederick Pike, Winchester.

Brain Injury Recovery

The Brain Injury Recovery Group will not meet in December. The next meeting will be Jan. 17. Call Betty Friant at 540-550-1784.

Breast Cancer Support

Breast Cancer Support Group, an education and support group for women, men and family impacted by breast cancer, will meet from 1 to 2 p.m. Dec. 11 at the Wellspring Conference Room, 525 Amherst St.

Epilepsy Support

Winchester/Frederick County Epilepsy Support Group meets from 7:30 to 9 p.m. the first Thursday at the Valley Health Wellness Center, Conference Room A, on the Winchester Medical Center campus. Call 540-686-7199.

Grief Share: Surviving the Holidays

Grief Share: Surviving the Holidays focuses on those who have lost a loved one with scripture reading, prayer, and a 40-minute video followed by group discussion and a time of sharing and fellowship. It will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 17 at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 2774 Northwestern Pike.

Holidays with a Heart

Holidays with a Heart will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesdays.

This holiday-themed support group gives survivors of sexual assault a source of support and connection to others during the holiday season, a difficult time for many.

The group is art/activity-based, but no artistic skills or experience is necessary.

Holiday support series

This program is designed to provide extra support throughout the holidays to individuals who have lost a loved one and to facilitate creative ways to memorialize them.

Sessions will be held from 3 to 4:30 p.m. this Tuesday and Dec. 11 and 18 at the Blue Ridge Hospice Bereavement Department, 312 W. Cork St., Winchester.

Lifestyles Modification

Lifestyles Modification is a support group to help improve understanding of food choices, daily activity, medication knowledge, high blood pressure, heart, vascular and kidney disease, and generally living a healthy lifestyle.

It meets from 3 to 4 p.m. the second Wednesday at the Winchester CHF Clinic Office at the Winchester Medical Center Heart & Vascular Center.

Spouses  of sexual/ pornography addicts

A support group for spouses of sexual/pornography addicts will be held at 6:30 p.m. the first and third Thursdays at 4 W. Monmouth St., Winchester.

Insight Meditation

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction teacher Shell Fischer leads a free, open, Insight Meditation group from 7 to 8:45 p.m. Tuesdays in the sanctuary of the Unitarian Universalist Church of the Shenandoah Valley, 6380 Valley Pike, Stephens City.

Red Cross blood drives

American Red Cross blood drives will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today, from noon to 6 p.m. Thursday and from 1 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Lucy L. Custer Building, American Red Cross, 561 Fortress Drive, Winchester.

Virginia Blood Services

Virginia Blood Services, provider of blood products to Valley Health hospitals, is open Tuesday through Saturday at 333 W. Cork St., Suite 220. Hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, and 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Zen Meditation

Zen Meditation discussion group meets Wednesday evenings at the Shenandoah Arts Council, 811 S. Loudoun St., Winchester.

Orientation is offered to all. All experience levels welcome. The teachings of American Zen teacher Cheri Huber are explored. Offered at no cost on behalf of the Zen Monastery Peace Center, livingcompassion.org.

Network for Aging Support meets from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. the third Monday at Shenandoah Valley Westminster-Canterbury.

These Alzheimer’s disease support groups meet in the Winchester area.

Connection Recovery Support Group meetings for adults from noon to 1:30 p.m. the first, third and fifth Monday at the Our Health Center, 301 N. Cameron St., first-floor conference room A.

NAMI Family and Friends Support Group at 2:30 p.m. the second Sunday at Winchester Rehab Center in conference room 1.
